Marshall County Exchange was formed in Guntersville, AL on January 31, 1934. The purpose of this farmer-owned cooperative would be to provide aid, financial and otherwise to it`s farmer members toward the purchase of needed supplies and the better and more efficient marketing of products for the mutual benefit of it`s members.

Marshall County Exchange Inc. became Marshall Farmer`s Cooperative Inc, on November 22, 1976, three years after the Co-op was opened at 460 South Parkway in Arab (1973). The Co-op, located in Guntersville, was moved to Albertville and remained there until 1998 when the new location opened at 586 Michell Ave.
